Back to basics
So, I’ve been trying all ways and means to look for an ideal job. I guess it all sums down to bad timing. I’m even willing to go all out and battle with the fresh grads. Oh cmon, even if they are willing to take peanuts from you, you will still hire someone with no experience? While all I’m asking is to match my current salary and extra advantage to you is that I have 3 years of experience! Okie, nevermind, whatever floats you boat alright?
However, somehow, somewhere out there, someone has been noticing my works. I’ve been called up by 2 different organizations, one of which is a company that runs external art courses where I will go to primary schools and conduct art programmes while the other is a nursery/kindergarten under the PCF management. Both want me to teach art!! Isn’t that what I’ve always wanted to do? Have fun at your job play with the kids, teach them e fundamentals of art & craft while getting paid! Great deal huh. They even offered to sponsor my degree course which I’ve always wanted to do, Art Therapy, which covers kids psychology. Can read their little minds help kids with special needs which is actually in demand now. And maybe can pursue my degree in Aussie?! Double happiness! Such a good deal right?
But the thing now is, I may take up both to see if I’m really suited to purse a career in teaching while I can still do my graphic as my sideline. I love graphics too much to give up. And yep, that’s my plan as of now. Half a year more, 20 teaching weeks and we shall see from there, hopefully Madhatters can win more pitches too and ready to hire me!! By then, it would be the best team to work with! woohoo!! Looking forward to everything that is going to happen for the rest of the year! (:
All I can say for now, its back to basics. The fundamentals of art (design), drawing (illustrating) and colouring/painting (rendering). And maybe even craft works (mock-ups)! See how these words are used at different levels? Oh how I love this artsy world.
